Like the back of a Volkswagon?

Eight months in Libya will certainly make you appreciate the little things. I can't think of a time that a Volkswagon Passat would have excited me. Maybe back when I was 16 looking at getting my first car, a VW might have been cool. A grey VW with matching grey cloth interior, manual transmission, cassette player, and 3 hubcaps doesn't exactly give you a thrill. Although, to be fair, it has 4 hubcaps if you count the one in the trunk. If fell off last week on a pothole and we had to turn around and pick it up.

Due to a unique combination of events, and a bit of logistical practicality, I've ended up getting a car and driver to take me home from the office instead of one of the vans. It's a nice step up from the mini-vans everyone uses here. Typically just the execs ever get to use one of the cars. There's a lot of benefits other than just being more comfortable for the ride. For one, you don't have to worry about leaving the office right at the whistle to pile in a hot van with 6 or 7 other people.

The cars also manage to get through the traffic better and have you home a whole lot quicker.
